Dr. Mary Elaine H. Silvestre is a board-certified optometrist, born and raised on the Chicago’s north side. She is a graduate of Loyola University where she completed her Bachelor’s in Science degree. After training in various optometric specialties, she received her Doctorate in Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. Silvestre’s clinical studies include rotations at the University of Chicago Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM) Ophthalmology department, Lighthouse Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, The Victorian College of Optometry at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and William Chappell, Jr. Veterans Optometry Clinic.
After graduation, Dr. Silvestre was employed by a large optical chain before opening Silvestre Eye Care, P.C. Her combined training at the Illinois Eye Insitute/Illinois College of Optometry and its affiliated facilities and years in corporate optometry have given her the knowledge required to properly assess and treat her patients. Dr. Silvestre’s attentiveness and her amiable disposition help to provide the utmost quality of care for her patients.
